Excellent coordination and communication! I text for assistance (not an emergency) and was met onsite within 2 hours. The technician was friendly, courteous, informative and helpful. Couldn't have asked for better customer service!!
It should be no mystery for this place why small businesses fail. Before I drag this place through the mud puddle they made let me admit my error. I did not ask the price beforehand…. I brought in two keys that came preprogrammed to my 2003 Expedition’s new ECM… I didn’t have the liberty of buying the keys from this place, they came with the ECM. They just needed to be cut. I wanted to give my business to a small business in town. I expected to pay more than having the keys cut at Walmart… maybe $10 a key max. It took the kind gentleman at the front less than 5 minutes to cut them for me. He then went in the back to ask a younger employee (maybe owner) how much it is to cut a key. I heard him say $25 a key, so $50…. I immediately challenged that and accused them of swindling me. The younger guy said I could get it done elsewhere, I told him I couldn’t because they were already done without first informing me of the excessive price first. Fortunately he agreed that was wrong and let me leave without paying even though I offered to pay $20. His excuse for charging excessive fees for less than 5 minutes of work is I didn’t buy the keys from him… I love being supportive of small businesses but I will not be supporting this one any longer, it needs to close if swindling people is common practice. I’ll take my key needs to Lowe’s, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, McCoy’s Hardware or Walmart… all of which can do as good of a job and not rob me. It’s disheartening to try to support a small business and be repaid by that business attempting to rob me… on top of that apparently they charge a 3% card fee for credit/debit transactions. You get robbed and charged 3% for the privilege.
Great experience, Twice! I've had to use Belton Locksmith twice in the last two weeks, both for different issues on different trucks.
Both times they answered my phone call promptly, and I was able to get in immediately both times. Had one truck both keyfobs replaced and on the other truck a keyfob and a new key made. No issues with either visit. I would highly recommend! Also, love the antiques displayed! Lol
I called and left a message Friday at 7:13p - it showed his shop was open until 8pm. The greeting suggested sending a text. I did that and sent a photo of the door knob I wanted rekeyed.
He responded Monday night. Price was reasonable for me to bring 2-3 door knobs in to be set to use key I have. Great job. I’d definitely recommend him. Thank-you
I DO NOT write reviews. But Ricardo, I can tell he is a community man. Helped me out when I locked myself out of my truck. They take card payments, $75. Tried to pay in cash so I could tip but couldn't find it in time, man had to go. Couldn't get the card tip feature figured out so off Ricardo went. Good man.
