Garden City is a retail garden center. We sell everything form bedding plants and shrubs to trees from 5 gallons to giant 200 gallons sizes. We also have a delivery and planting service for the the large trees. We are located in Belton but serving all surrounding areas. We beat the big box stores prices and especially service.

5 years agoWe love shopping here, nothing but good outcomes with the hardy plants we buy. We’ve also purchased two trees here and John and his crew did an excellent job with delivery and planting (even in rocky soils!). Excellent customer service and fair prices. Trees and plants that are healthy and thriving and they have excellent knowledge of the toughest species we need in our weather.

2 years agoI bought LOTS of bushes and trees from Garden City. In July 2022, I bought two LARGE EXPENSIVE Magnolia trees and planted them 10 feet apart. One of them is just perfect, flowering the first week. The second one DIED within three days. The entire thing turned brown and dried out. I went back and showed the owner photographs of the tree and he blamed me, saying that I must not have watered the one that died!! REALLY?? I showed him the photographs of the trees 10 feet apart, and explained that they both get watered (heavily) the same. The owner was very nice when I was BUYING the trees, but NOT HELPFUL when I went back 6 days later and waited for him to come back (LATE) from lunch to show him the problem with the dead tree. One of his employees even said that it was a BAD tree.., and encouraged me to talk to the owner. I checked the ground with a water meter and it showed the tree's ground was plenty WET. HIGH prices and NO customer service. The owner does not stand behind his plants.

4 years ago6/1/20 we bought 2 trees for over $815. Approx 3 weeks later they were delivered and planted. One was sold as a deep red crepe myrtle. I was adamant about deep red and salesman assured me that was what I would get. 7/21/20 it blooms and is fushia pink! Pretty, but not what I had been assured I was getting. I emailed and called leaving messages 5 times with no response. Finally on 8/24/20, the owner, John, calls saying he'll replace with a deep red one BUT he has no help, problems getting help, way behind, wife ill with heart issues. As I had just lost my husband to Covid19, I told him no rush, that I just wanted to explain problem and he could catch up and then get it done for me. In October I tried emailing again, but no response. Oct 30th I called and spoke to John again, refreshing his memory of the problem. He then said I bought a Dallas Red and it is a deep pink. I told him that's not what his salesman had told me. Then he switched and said he'd emailed me to come pick out what I wanted. I told him he had not, as I keep good records. He then hung up on me!! Needless to say, I'm furious. I paid over $350 with taxes and deliver/plant for a tree that is not what I was told I was buying!!! Lousiest customer service I've ever experienced. Buyer beware.
